Gear and Licence

A Northwest Territories fishing licence is required to fish at Thekulthili Lake, and is available in Fort Smith.

Standard spinning, casting or fly rod equipment is sufficient. Heavier test line in the 15 to 30 pound range should be included, and all hooks must have the barbs pinched or cut off to protect the many fish that are released throughout the season.
